About me
Amanda is a former veteran high school English teacher from the Illinois/Wisconsin border. Amanda specializes in backwards design, inquiry based curriculum and authors many articles on her website to help other teachers get started. She has taught AP Language, co-taught at multiple levels, and ESL. She's taught at every grade level in high school and is always excited for a new challenge. Amanda co-hosts the podcast Brave New Teaching and has a deep passion for helping teachers and English departments work toward building inquiry-driven curriculums. Amanda is an avid traveler and has most recently returned from her second trip to Iceland. She is a wife to a man that reupholsters cars and smokes meat on weekends and a mom to two beautiful, crazy children (Please send help!)
