About me
I began my career in education as a high school English and Theatre teacher. Additionally, I have served as Dean of Students, Department Chair, and Associate Principal in school districts in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. After twenty years in the public school system, I have worked for seven years at National Louis University as the Program Chair of Teacher Leadership and as an Associate Professor of Leadership Studies. In my role, I have the honor of working with teacher leaders all over Illinois who long to remain in their classrooms but also want to make a difference in school-level leadership. I am passionate about instructional coaching, new teacher mentorship, professional development, and shared leadership as key elements of school and student success.
