This session encourages teachers to reflect on their current instructional practices, and offers a variety of strategies for supporting language beyond vocabulary instruction. Topics such as assessment, content differentiation and language scaffolds will be addressed.
This session will provide participants with a variety of strategies and recommendations for working with students who struggle to engage in the classroom. We will address topics such as assessment, executive functioning, building a culturally responsive classroom, and supporting students with scaffolds and differentiation.
The reality of teaching is that there are days where not all students are prepared to engage in the same exact activity. In this session, we will address how to meet a wide range of student needs and interests in the classroom. Teachers will discuss the logistics of creating differentiated, student-led stations, as well as a few lower-prep alternatives.
